Trezay Trezay began rhyming at the age of 13, nurtured his skills throughout high school and
hooked up with producer Big Shawn their high-school love for breakdancing, music
and skateboarding. Sitting in Philip's Barber Shop at 13 and 14, the place where
it all originated, the guys had a dream something they wanted to make happen for
them, the one thing that they both loved....... music.
The vision of an album was there, but how long would it take? A little patience,
perseverance, and respect and love for the music. You see, back in those days
they didn't have a market to make music for. "We had like 50 Hip Hop heads on
the island so we didn't have a reason o make albums. We just used to cypher
perform for our few fans and battle all day everyday. But now people are realy
into hip hop and they buy the music like crazy now." Trezay is not an average
hip-hop artist. In fact, this young man has been in the entertainment arena for
most his life. With elements of hip-hop such as breakdancing, rhyming and
graffiti-writing making up his demeanor, he is not only creating a stir on the
airwaves in Barbados, but will soon hope to do so around the Caribbean and the
Americas. Trezays fusion resume is by far one of the most impressive on the
island. He has worked with some of the hottest producers and artist over the
years. He has released his own soca album entitled Trezay-ChipHop. A mixture of
caribbean rhythms and hip hop. Not only is this young man a writer, he is also a
producer. Doing the co-producer role for the last few records, he figured it was
time to take it into his own hands.
 Liquid Flow It
is clear that his unique sound has the hardiness of a veteran writer and
performer. Trezay challenges musical boundaries by carving out his own identity
in todays highly competitive market. His signature high energy songs will have
you dancing at first listen. He stays true to his own creative spirit. "Im just
fortunate that people happen to like what I do".
He is now currently no. 10 on the Artistopia Hip Hop charts. With the
establishment of his production company, LiquidFlowProductions, and a growing
musical palette of singles garnering strong radio support, Trezay is forging his
way into an elite circle of beat crafters and song writers. He has maintained
strong roots in the underground movement over the past 15 years but now he
believes it's time to move foward to the Intertional markets and put Barbados on
the map for Hip Hop. On january 8th 2006, he and his crew were awarded the
cornerstone award for his contribution to hip hop and the local industry over
the years. Trezay's second studio album is set for a 2006 release & will feature
collaborations with his crew Poundas and long time friend Bigshawn, as well as
colabos with Bajan artist and producers.
