INFLUENCES I GOT NUN, I DO HOWEVER GET MY MOTIVATION & INSPIRATION FROM THIS B**CH CALLED "LIFE".............................................WE GOT'S 2 LIVE IT
Born October 9th 1985, Arlon L. Griffith, a.k.a. "F. DunDeal aka Fantom", came under Strong musical influence almost immediately. As early as (4) four years old, he began to learn to play the drums. His initial push came from his grandfather and then later, his Uncle Lyndon Fenty, who was himself a fairly accomplished drummer and musician.
Over the last (12) years, this Young rapper/chanter and 'semi-singer' as he calls himself, has grown by leaps and bounds into an experienced performer, wether it be with a TV track or an actual band and in more recent times, quite a talented recording artist. Dundeal consistently appears before crowds numbering in the hundreds and even thousands. With over (50) fifty "solid performances" to date, he has thrilled audiences across the Caribbean and even further , with notable showings in St. Kitts, Trinidad and Tobago and even Miami. In his native Barbados, the dynamic rapper has entertained at numerous popular clubs and venues, such as "Club 360" “Ship Inn”, Club Extreme". "Tims", "The National Hip-Hop Festival" and the "Sir Garfield Sobers Gymnasium", to name a few as well as opening for Kardinal Offishall Nov 9th 2008 @ Club NXS.
Fantom's musical influences have been many and varied throughout his career and include the likes of international, regional and local stars, amount them, Cecil Fenty(rip), Marvin Gaye, Tupac, Black Thought, Big Whiz(rip) Mos Def, Teddy Pendergrass, Beres Hammond, Vybz Cartel, Aidonia, Planet Asia, Wutang Clan, Rupee, Inchiz, Rihanna, Shontelle, Trezay, Strat, Nas and more.
With role models like these, it is not surprising that this young talent already has one completed music video entitled "Twisted" under his belt and he has blazed a trail by recording sales of his first album at over "1500+" copies sold in 3 months in tiny Barbados! Quite an achievement when one considers that rarely, even at the peak of the "Crop Over" season there do the best recording artists manage such figures in such quick time, to date he has another professional music video coming “One Minute” which is one out of the four singles planned to be released, as well as his 2008 mixtape “1st Notice” which is being hosted by DJ MVP & RAS.
This young man lists, making music, listening to music, writing songs, playing soccer, conversating an spending time with the female gender and shooting 'pool' or 'billards' as among his hobbies and favorite activities. Such a well rounded and mature individual with a solid team(Triple E) behind him is sure to make his mark on the local and eventually, international music scene as he has already begun.
